FAQs

Do my employees work for me or Discovery Outsourcing?
The nature of co-employment is that your employees still work for you, but Discovery Outsourcing has some responsibilities to your employees too. The employees continue to report to you about their job responsibilities, assignments, work schedules, pay rates and all other functions that are essential to the core operation of your business. Now you and your employees can use Discovery Outsourcing as a resource for issues or questions relating to benefits, 401(k), payroll processing, etc. thus removing you from the administration of having employees and allowing you to focus on your core business functions.

Q:  Can Discovery Outsourcing hire or terminate my employees?
Discovery Outsourcing does not have the desire or background to make the hiring decisions for your company. You obviously understand the needs of your business better than Discovery. So, you will decide who you are interested in hiring, promoting or terminating…sometimes with our assistance. For example, if you think you are on solid ground to terminate someone, but would like to discuss the circumstances with a knowledgeable human resources professional, that’s where we come in. We can help you decide the best course of action.

Q:  How can Discovery Outsourcing help me keep up with the growing regulatory burdens from tax changes to benefit requirements?
Our #1 goal at Discovery Outsourcing is service. We provide a human resource professional who will serve as your one point of contact for all of the services provided by Discovery Outsourcing. These professionals are supported by benefit specialists, 401k experts , payroll and tax specialists and legal experts. In addition all of your contacts with Discovery Outsourcing are licensed for Life, Accident and Health Insurance and are able to provide comprehensive on-site benefit orientations for your employees.
